It’s no secret that I am a huge Disney fan. While I have always loved the classic heroes and heroins of Disney movies, I also have a huge fascination with Disney villains. Their costumes, behavior, and their essential role in the films really set the tone for an awesome makeup collection.
ColourPop blew me away with their Disney Villains collection. ColourPop has super high-quality makeup products that are relatively inexpensive and cruelty free, and they nailed both their Disney Princess and Disney Villains collections. Their electric, energetic packaging for the Villains collection is absolutely stunning.
I think that every aspect of the packaging is a perfect fit for every villain that is showcased within the collection. I will say that the only thing I am not a fan of within the collection is the eyeshadow palette, as I feel I wouldn’t get a lot of use out of most of the colors within the palette.
I chose to purchase three highlighters from this collection, and I picked them out based primarily on highlighter color and also the villain associated with them. I chose to only get the highlighters for now because I know I would reach for them consistently in my makeup collection, and because highlighters are the only part of ColourPop’s Disney Princess collection that I do not own and have never gotten to try before.
The highlighters that I chose are:
- Ursula –> “Poor Unfortunate Souls”, a light purple/pink highlighter with an almost pearl finish. A great pick for a subtle way to add something different to your makeup look.
- Maleficent –> “Mistress of All Evil”, a very neutral gold/champagne highlighter that I use almost every day for a natural glow.
- Cruella –> “You Idiots! You Fools! You Imbeciles!” is a very light silvery highlighter. This is the kind of highlighter I reach for when I want a bold cheekbone or brow bone.
After testing these out for about two weeks, I can honestly say that these are some of my favorite highlighters in my collection. The color payoff is amazing, there is no fallout, and they all add such a unique glow. They are also easy to apply with a brush for a more subtle look, or with your finger for a bolder highlight. I would highly recommend trying these, especially since they are only $10 each!
