With everything that’s going on in the world right now, I think we could all use a little comfort. And what comforts us more than a warm homemade dessert? I love this peach cobbler that I make as a crowd-pleasing treat for events, family gatherings, and for a movie night at home. The two things I enjoy most about this recipe is that it practically bakes itself, and that it only takes 3 very inexpensive ingredients. I also really like that I can put it in the crockpot and forget about it for a few hours while I do other things around the house. Let me know if you end up trying this recipe out!
The Ingredients
- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 1 stick of butter
- 2 cans (approximately 15oz) of peaches in heavy syrup
- Ice cream (optional)
The Recipe
- Grab your crockpot and ingredients.
- Pour the two cans of peaches into the crockpot.
- Add the cake mix overtop of the peaches, and try to keep it pretty even.
- Cut the stick of butter into thin slices.
- Place the slices of butter on top of the cake mix. Try to keep a relatively even disbursement of butter, as this will help the cobbler bake and stay moist.
- Place the lid on the crockpot and turn the crockpot on HIGH for 3 hours.
- Serve warm! I recommend serving it over a generous scoop of ice cream.
This dish stays good in the fridge for up to 5 days in a well-sealed container. I normally just scoop any leftovers into a Tupperware, and eat it for dessert throughout the rest of my week! See the pictures below for a visual step-by-step on this recipe!
